A lot of elective surgeries are finally being done and then they test the patient for the Chinese virus and presto, they have it, and the hospital gets $13,000 bonus from the government ($39,000 if they die) so the hospitalization numbers are inflated.

They also are fudging, people with the flu or pneumonia, close enough, put them down for the Chinese virus, cha-ching.

People get hit by a truck, taken to the hospital, pronounced dead, test them (or maybe do not test them) there is another virus victim, another $39,000, dead as a doornail.

Seriously my friend, this is how they cover EVERY issue. Be it the economy, taxes, interest rates, murders, police violence, crime, riots, impeachment, collusion...... EVERYTHING

There's never any balance, there's always one narrative that serves their own political agenda.

Hence my go to expression; The criminal, corrupt, colluding and always lying democratic media. If they even had a shred of dignity, the democrats would always be in trouble in national elections.

They cover the horse race (polls) more than they do the issues. They mold opinion with their coverage, then cite those opinions they've created as meaningful.

They're inherently dishonest people, or incredibly stupid, your call.


Back to your point, I search for statistical data all the time, and it's very hard to even find what you're talking about. I believe most of the CDC data is raw, but it's lagging. News articles bury mitigating factors, and other research centers bury this stuff in presentations that require a lot of work to decipher. If I'm having trouble with this and I'm willing to work for it, then the vast majority of people won't even bother trying (and I'm not knocking anyone here, I actually don't blame them)

Deaths are just so yesterday...don't ya know.

As I've said numerous times, when one metric no longer works, the media and the Useful Idiots move the goalposts. Next it was cases, and when that didn't work because the testing was up significantly, it went to hospitalizations. Admittedly, I will say that is significant as we don't want people that need care to be unable to obtain it. So the media and Useful Idiots get giddy about it and then when you bring up the 1000s of people protesting and not observing any social distancing whatsoever, they pretend like it doesn't matter and they find someone from academia to explain to you that what you're seeing with your own eyes really had little impact on the surge in hospitalizations (yeah, you can't make this shit up). So apparently Black Lives Matter but people getting this virus do not. All the while, there is a negative correlation between increases in cases and hospitalizations, with deaths. But we all know the Useful Idiots aren't good with math or statistics. It's not worth spending any time on it, so I don't.
